President Prepares Army of Bloggers

In a reflection of a legislative strategy that has left no stone unturned, President Barack Obama on Monday called on like-minded bloggers to help his administration keep the heat on lawmakers to pass health care reform.
“It is important just to keep the pressure on members of Congress because what happens is there is a default position of inertia here in Washington,” the president said during an invitation-only conference call. “And pushing against that, making sure that people feel that the desperation that ordinary families are feeling all across the country, every single day, when they are worrying about whether they can pay their premiums or not… People have to feel that in a visceral way. And you guys can help deliver that better than just about anybody.”
In a roughly 25-minute session with a handful of prominent progressive bloggers, the president also asked for help combating disinformation about his health care plan.
“I know the blogs are best at debunking myths that can slip through a lot of the traditional media outlets,” he said. “And that is why you are going to play such an important role in our success in the weeks to come.”
The call demonstrates just how heated the health care debate has become in recent weeks and how much ammunition the administration is willing to bring to the table. At various points in the call, the president offered a strikingly detailed synopsis of his political strategy and health care policy as a whole.
Disinformation? Hey Obama, reality check time. Us rednecks out here know the origination of disinformation – your mouth. You think a bunch of bloggers are going to convince the American people that your stimulus plan worked? How’s that economy recovering for ya? Unemployment, what unemployment? You saved us jobs, and we really, really thank you for it. Earth to Obama – we’re not as stupid as you think we are. I think the CBO helped blow your cover. Damn, truth can sure be irritating to a liberal.
You lost the trust of many who voted for you. And many in your party know the realities of your public-option health care bill. Go ahead, dig yourself a deeper hole, and if you want to hand out shovels to a bunch of sheep to help you, be my guest.
By the way, two can play that game. Calling all right wing spreaders of truth! Let your voice be heard and defend our country against King Obama and the Liberalites! Light up the phone lines and send those emails to your Representatives and Senators. Should I have capitalized all the above? I know the exclamation points are a bit lefty blogger-like, but I notice they like to capitalize everything, and I strongly desire to be just like them. I just have to get good at that disinformation stuff and empty my brain of coherent thoughts.
Looks like Obama let one of those pesky truths out. Michelle Malkin – Barack Obama speaks the truth! Update: Mayo not okay-o with Obamacare:
Team Obama’s gaffetastic moments are their most honest ones. Here is the president warning that the government health care take over will create “inefficiencies.”
You don’t say! Tell me it isn’t so. Thanks Obama, none of us Neanderthals out here in the real world have figured that one out without your gracious assistance. We were just too busy clinging to our bibles.

As for the stimulus package, another pig at the trough. Michelle Malkin: Nice Work if you can get it:
The porkulus continues to stimulate jobs — for political cronies.
Saving or creating employment, one job at a time. Something like that, right Obama?

[...] Make your voice heard, be strong but polite. ObamaCare must be killed. President Prepares Army of Bloggers Posted by Gerald Merits July 21, 2009 [...]
So, Obama’s “army of bloggers” are out there. Prepare yourselves! I do believe that “debunk
the MYTHS and DISINFORMATION” is CODE for “lie to the American people” and try to “confuse
the hell out of them” because they’re NOT very educated anyway!
Read the Healthcare Bill – it’s available online. Then call/email your Congressman & Representatives.
BTW, I remember when IMPORTANT BILLS were DEBATED on the floor and TELEVISED to the American
People – We don’t do that anymore? Shouldn’t that be the “transparency” we should be DEMANDING?
Instead of BEHIND CLOSED DOORS? I would love to see a DEBATE as that would be EVIDENCE that the
BILL has been READ by ALL members of BOTH HOUSES.
Instead of TELEVISING the entire Michael Jackson Story, the MEDIA could have been TELEVISING the
Cap & TAX Bill that was sneaked through THAT WEEK! (Just a thought)
