Obama says Tea Partiers should be thanking him:

On tax day, he show cases the tax cuts in the stimulus plan, other tax break, and refusal to raise taxes on people making less than $250,000 a year.

“So I’ve been amused in recent days by these people having rallies,” he said to laughter. “I think they should be saying thank you.” Big applause, and calls of “Thank you” from the crowd.

The man sure can lie with straight face. Either that, or he believes his own propaganda, along with the worshiping zombie crowds that fill his teleprompter driven drivel.

After much thought, I did find it appropriate to thank Obama for a whole litany of accomplishments and deeds performed by the Self-Anointed One.

  • Thank you Obama for an unemployment of 9.7%, and real unemployment (workers who stopped looking, marginally attached workers, and underemployed workers) of 17.5%.
  • Thank you Obama for siding with Marxists Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez when Honduras President Manuel Zelaya decided to throw out the Constitution of his country and stay in power past his term before being unceremoniously marched out of the country by the military which fulfilled its oath, stepped back, and allowed the Honduran Congress to appoint a successor. Those inconvenient Constitutions sure can be a bitch to budding Marxists.
  • Thank you Obama for your America apology tour.
  • And for trillion dollar bailouts, budgets, deficits.
  • Let’s not forget heavy government regulation that further stifles our economic recovery. Thanks a million Mr. President.
  • And we can’t forget to thank you for supporting tax increases at all income levels.
  • Or indicating you have no idea how basic economic theory works.
  • And a big shout out for insulting our intelligence. We know if you increase taxes on small business (what you call the wealthy), big business (such as oil), then everyone, including middle class America, end up paying the tax. Which means we should also thank you for:
  • Showing us you would be a horrible contestant on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?
  • Thank you Obama for selling out our children’s future and attempting to enslave them to a bloated government.
  • For the nationalization of many industries, including automotive and health.
  • For undermining the CIA and our military by publishing documents that reveal our interrogation techniques.
  • For canceling important weapon systems
  • For bowing, and bowing, and bowing ad nauseam to world leaders like an impotent second class citizen unworthy of manhood.
  • For weakening this country by providing terrorists the same legal protections as U.S. citizens.
  • For omitting “Islamic Terrorism” from security documents while allowing the Department of Homeland Security to publish reports labeling soldiers and conservatives as potential right-wing extremists.
  • For stonewalling on the Fort Hood massacre investigation:
  • For creating a shadow government of czars Thank You Obama who are radical Marxists and crooks.
  • And lets not forget to thank you for alienating Israel, our only real ally in the Middle East, while fostering a potentially explosive situation in that region. Bully for you.
  • An I am sure that many in Iran would love to join us Americans in thanking you for turning your back on Iranian protesters while they were slaughtered.
  • While we are at it, thanks in advance for assisting Iran in creating a nuclear warhead. Awesome!
  • And thanks for helping me win that bet. It is possible for a President to be worse than Jimmy Carter.
  • But most of all, thank you for pulling this country together in opposition to your policies; for making us stronger and setting the stage for a comeback of epic proportions for fiscal conservatism as happened after we were subject to four years of Jimmy Carter. Of course, you won’t be thanking us for that, not when your explicit goal is weakening and destroying the greatest nation on this planet.

So thank you in advance for failing – something I guarantee will happen.

Mark Twain once said of Congress,

Reader, suppose you were an idiot; and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.

Sadly, the hope and change of Obama exposes not only Mr. BHO himself, but Congress, and the rest of our country as a nation of idiots at worse, and impulsive voters at best. After all, this country elected the guy. Don’t look at me though, he didn’t get my vote.

No, I am not saying everyone in America is an idiot. No doubt some Obama voters fit the bill, but many were bamboozled by a slick talking puppet and voted on impulse against a party that deserted its precepts, leaving them now to ask if Obama abandoned good principles, or whether he ever had any. The lesson learned – vote with your head and use common sense next time.

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry at the following tidbit. I leave it to the reader to decide. From American Thinker:

No wonder those Chinese college students fell all over themselves with laughter when Timothy Geithner assured them that Obama would never spend the United States into debt. What an idiot! They laughed because Geithner’s stupidity or mendacity was too obvious for words.

This begs the question, are we laughing at Obama and Geithner, or wasting our existence glued to the television, salivating over the latest news about Michael Jackson? Sorry, but I just don’t give a damn about an 80s has-been when my country is in a barrel heading for Niagra Falls.

Given the latest yea vote for cap-n-trade in the House – hell, lets call it what it is – cap and tax, I sit here dazed at he sheer stupidity of it all. While the rest of the world is figuring out that anthropocentric global warming is a hoax, as are many in this country, our Congress brings to the fierce struggle of politics the tepid enthusiasm of a lazy summer afternoon watching paint dry.

When asked to reconsider the science of global warming, our dear leader politely refused. Must be too busy propping up the usurper in South America, wringing his hands and agonizing over how a despotic leader who decided to ignore his own country’s constitution is rightfully shown the door. He is joined by his pals Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro, and while not personally guilty of overt threats, his two comrades are quick to portend violent action to ensure South America continues its march towards communism. Obama’s silence in light of these threats amounts to nothing less than a tacit green light to bully a country protecting its democratic constitution. Meanwhile, Iranians spill their blood half a world away as Obama twiddles his thumbs – thumbs he would have planted firmly up his hindquarters if not for the inconvenient presence of his head. If you think you are viewing a world through the looking glass, take a look around, Alice is somewhere nearby.

If Obama occasionally stumbles over the truth, rest assured he will quickly pick himself up and hurry about his business as if nothing happened. No doubt, the offending truth that caused his stumbling is quickly removed by those who grovel at his feet, all semblance of their own self respect gone, as evidenced by the brown coloring their noses.

The novice boy president, dangerous as he is, needs to understand one thing about America – we won’t tolerate his ineptitude much longer. Congress is feeling the heat from the public and the polls just are not looking good these days for the novice White House resident whose naivety is only overshadowed by his ego.

Perhaps Iran does not bother Obama because unarmed students are limited in their capacity to overthrow tyranny. It is different in Honduras – the military stepped in and stopped a coup, not started one. No matter how hard Obama and the mainstream media squeeze their eyes shut, click their heels together and wish, the American people are catching on.

Our dear leader travels far and wide in his attempt to spread apathy. Our legislature discovers new and innovative ways to defy logic and mire themselves deeper into corruption. Admiring themselves in the mirror, transfixed by their own reflections, they run about ignorant to the caricature that defines them and ignorant to a waking populace salivating to replace them with something more useful – like a toaster oven or some soft two-ply toilet paper. As they attempt to sell out this country – to destroy the livelihoods of you, me, and everyone else, while mortgaging the future to mediocrity – we watch….and wait.

While Obama shows despots his backside, we show them our face. Now it is Obama’s turn to see our faces. His veil is slipping, and the act is nearing its end. Oh, and to the Congress, you are never far from our thoughts, and in case you are too myopic and half-witted to figure it out, trust me, right now that is not a good thing.

I think Shakespeare captures the Obama way quite well. From the Tempest:

Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.

Obama is no magician. As hard as he may try – his attempt to dissolve what is great about this country will redefine failure.

As for us, in our story – the American story – we know who the actors are and we are wide awake. Tread lightly lest you tread on me.

Liberals: forever indebted to their imaginations in gathering any facts.

More evidence we live where Alice lives: Glenn Reynolds on how Obama voters will pay the price:

OBAMA VOTERS WILL PAY THE PRICE: “When Congress decides how to pay for President Obama’s signature healthcare initiative, some of his strongest political bastions may be footing a heavy bill. And in a political irony, states that went for Obama’s Republican rival, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, in 2008 are among those likely to benefit most from Democratic healthcare policies.” They told me if I voted for John McCain I’d be protecting myself from high healthcare taxes — and, apparently, they were right!

Ah, how bittersweet to hear a self-labeled independent bemoan his selection of Barack Hussein Obama to the highest office in the land. Short of temper, long on incredulity, the blank look in their eyes like the thousand yard stare of someone in complete shock as circumstances around them spiral out of control. They have learned powerful lessons – that voting sans objectivity lacks intelligence and foresight, that dangerous consequences exist for decisions made on baseless emotional grounds, and the man they helped elect is destroying the very fabric of this country.

Should you find yourself faced with a similar tortured soul, remember to practice tough love. To ensure the lesson is driven home, remind them of the opportunity this country once provided and how their vote mortgaged the dreams of generations to come, their children and grandchildren now held hostage to a system whose only mass produced commodity is mediocrity and economic slavery. Don’t flinch as their eyes widen in horror, but stare them down, for it is this lesson that must stay with them for years to come, when opportunities to fix today’s mess present themselves in voting booths across this country.

Liberalism is an affliction, its adherents suffering from delusions of adequacy, their sense of purpose derived not by encouraging independence, but by chipping away at the very dignity of what it means to be a human being. Self-reliance gives way to reliance on the state, the very foundation of liberal thinking a child of nihilism’s will-to-power. Myopic in their lack of capacity to realize the foundation of their beliefs rest on the assumption that the very ground of reality is emptiness, that only an ephemeral conception called humanity possesses the capacity to bootstrap itself and change its very nature.

Wait, you may say, Christians are liberals. To these people I point out the bipolar nature of liberal thought – that one can be a Christian, even act outwardly like a Christian, but inwardly and often unconsciously and implicitly act the nihilist. What nihilism as a movement fails to realize is its own absurdity and contradiction. If reality is meaningless at its deepest and most fundamental level, then so are our thoughts about it. Nihilism negates everything…except itself. It is not radical enough to be objective. If it were, it would be practical to the point of utility, lending itself to a sort of pragmatism that does not ignore the nature of the world and attempt to mold it into something palatable.

As such it is as much a religion as Christianity. I can neither prove nor disprove the existence of God any more than a nihilist can provide objective evidence for their belief. Adherents to the tenants of nihilism seem incapable of recognizing the self-contradiction of attempting to create meaning where none exists. Why attempt a philosophy at all if your belief is that the ground of being is meaningless? It is like one is attempting to create a meaningful meaninglessness. If the original assumption is true, then any subsequent philosophy lacks a foundation. Perhaps that is why liberals love to tear down the founding principles of society – if you lack a foundation, then by extension, so should society. The core beliefs that made a country great now become fodder for destruction, their very existence distasteful to the warped liberal mind.

The fact of this self-contradiction now spreads itself into everyday actions and beliefs. It is now possible to believe we can change human nature, such as our propensity for conflict by appealing to a despotic leader’s logic while simultaneously allowing rampant sexual behavior to go unchecked. Why one instinct and not the other? PETA protects the animals, the ACLU protects the National Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), and if we could all just gather together and talk about our grievances then everything would be okay. Go ahead, Iranian diplomats, come on over to the White House for some hot dogs and a few beers.

Liberals are like cattle heading towards a cliff, and those who value freedom and independence are currently tethered to this self-destructive herd. Their subjugation of their will to government power and insistence that an entire society self-enslave themselves to the state calls into question the ability of liberals to think about any subject critically. This is not surprising as thinking is just one of many items in a liberal’s shopping bag of things the government should do for you.

This is particularly apparent in the global warming debate, something I will touch on tomorrow. In the meantime, here are a few posts today from fellow bloggers I found particularly interesting:

Michelle Malkin on more liberal madness. It appears the EPA is hiding climate change emails not helpful to the global warming narrative. Now I wonder why that is?

Karl on why an Obamacare public plan should be an easy target.

Gateway Pundit has the latest news on Iran. Where is Obama? I can’t help but feel horrible whenever I see pictures of injured and dead students. The Neda image is seared into my mind.

High levels of testosterone and testicular fortitude abound at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. Emperor Misha I on our Pathetic leader.
